With over 20 years of innovation in developing a sustainable cloud through watercooling at scale, OVHcloud is setting the bar for industry best practice, as highlighted most recently by the carbon calculator. OVHcloud carbon calculator, in line with GHG Protocol and certified by IJO with the Bilan Carbone® method, goes through continuous improvements: launched last summer for Bare Metal customers, it is now available for all OVHcloud Hosted Private Cloud clients representing more than 310,000 servers. Moreover, the calculation of greenhouse gas emissions has been enriched with energy emissions using Market-based emission factors, thus demonstrating our commitment and our contracts in favor of low-carbon energies. This allows to calculate the carbon footprint of all our dedicated servers with a high level of exhaustiveness in terms of emissions.

The OVHcloud carbon calculator gives customers a better understanding of their cloud infrastructure carbon footprint and provides greater transparency but also encourage more responsible IT usage across the industry.
