[Trusted Cloud Digest] OVHcloud takes part in the round table discussion on the competitiveness of European companies in Riga, Latvia
As part of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, OVHcloud was invited to Riga by the French Embassy and the French Institute in Latvia to take part in a seminar entitled “European digital sovereignty – French and Latvian perspectives”. The aim of this event was to analyse both the challenges and opportunities of technological transformation, both at institutional and societal level, in order to study the solutions that could be implemented at state level and throughout the European Union.
Robert Paszkiewicz, Vice President for Central and Eastern Europe at OVHcloud, spoke at the round table on “European Business Competitiveness - Between the USA and China”. This participation is part of our efforts to raise awareness on the challenges and consequences of the choices we make in terms of managing digital data via the cloud, in the European political sphere. It is an extension of the event organised on 20 January at the French Embassy in Germany.
During this round table discussion, Robert Paszkiewicz had the opportunity to introduce OVHcloud to the Latvian audience and to raise the issues to be tackled and the conditions to be fulfilled in order to be able to compete with China and the United States, through concrete actions, in particular from the political actors. It was also a question of addressing our vision of digital sovereignty: putting freedom of choice at the heart of our model.
