OVHcloud announces asset deal with API.VIDEO, a specialist in the hosting, management and distribution of videos
Roubaix – 6 February 2025 – OVHcloud, a global cloud player and the European Cloud leader, announces the acquisition of API.VIDEO’s assets, a French technology company offering a software platform for securely integrating and distributing video content on websites and applications.
Positioned in the rapidly-growing video market, API.VIDEO has more than 1,000 French and international customers, in the education, e-commerce, media and public administration sectors. Recently, API.VIDEO extended its offering by developing Artificial Intelligence features to enhance its platform, such as multilingual automatic transcription and video chaptering and summarisation.
OVHcloud aims to continue API.VIDEO's existing activities, and to integrate a new feature into its Webcloud segment. API.VIDEO's technology will be made available to customers so that they can easily and securely integrate video content into their websites.
In addition, OVHcloud aims to extend its range of Public Cloud products with a Media Services offering in the medium term, targeting the fast-growing video market. This offering will aim to simplify and accelerate the creation, transformation and distribution of digital content, while complying with local regulations, including the GDPR.
