[Trusted Cloud Digest] Industrial Reconquest: in Croix, OVHcloud welcomed Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Minister Delegate for Industry
On Tuesday, August 24, the OVHcloud teams had the pleasure to welcome Mrs. Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Economy, Finance and Recovery, in charge of Industry, at the Croix production center.
This meeting with the management and the employees was placed under the angle of the industrial reconquest. The Hauts de France region is essential for OVHcloud, with nearly a thousand employees in the area. This anchoring is reflected in jobs, investments and strong links with our local partners.
The Minister was able to discuss with the teams, whom she warmly congratulated on discovering their missions, as well as with the management, particularly on the integrated industrial model developed by OVHcloud. This model gives the Group full control over its value chain, guarantees its agility and resilience, and above all enables us to deploy unprecedented innovation capacities to serve our 1.5 million customers around the world. At our Research and Development center, the Minister was able to discover the water cooling system, developed for 18 years by the company, as well as the chains dedicated to the circular economy, which allow OVHcloud to considerably reduce its environmental footprint.
The Minister also emphasized the entrepreneurial adventure and innovation capabilities of the company, which for 22 years has offered a human, open and sustainable cloud.
The cloud is a strategic priority for the French government, which intends to support the French industry for a sovereign cloud, as the Minister emphasized on her Twitter account:
The servers designed and manufactured in France by this French manufacturer are essential to our sovereignty: with the sovereign cloud strategy carried with Cedric O and Bruno Le Maire, we intend to master the storage and data analysis"
