“It is with great pleasure that we reinforce OVH’s position in Quebec,” indicated Mr. Henryk Klaba, deputy CEO and cofounder of OVH, who was present for the announcement. “This new expansion will highlight Quebec’s expertise and propel the innovation of our products and services to the benefit of all our international clients. “We are ready to welcome 50 new collaborators in our new office situated in the heart of the Saint-Roch quarter, on Charest Boulevard,” explained Pierre Leroux, vice president of user experience and manager of OVH’s research center in Quebec. “We are looking for application developers, interface developers, IT engineers, devops, security engineers, user experience analysts, web designers and artists, all motivated and ready to join the ranks of a rapidly expanding global company, which promotes flexibility and the creation of value for customers.”
OVH wishes to encourage networking within Québec’s startup community to advance projects in co-development, unite ideas and develop new services to support the growth of its customers around the world. OVH.com expanding
Two years after putting online its first North American
datacenter, with a capacity to house 360,000 servers, in Beauharnois on Montreal’s South Shore, OVH is increasing its activity. In addition to the R&D center in Quebec, OVH will create an opening for 100 new skilled jobs in business development, system administration and technical support, the majority of which will be located at the OVH North American headquarters located in downtown Montreal. The expansion will enable it to reach 240 employees by 2018 across the three regions in which it conducts business: Quebec, Montreal and Beauharnois.
Echoing this expansion, OVH will triple the surface area of its Montreal offices by the end of the first quarter of 2015. The new premises will include collaborative spaces for training and accompanying startups in order to create a gathering place for Montreal’s ICT community.
On December 9, OVH announced a record fundraising of 327 million dollars targeted at intensifying the deployment of its activities. The exponential growth of OVH since its inception in 1999 has indeed convinced banks to accompany OVH in its new phase of expansion.
