OVHcloud Announces Immediate Availability of New ‘Availability Zone’ Region in Paris

OVHcloud, the European Cloud leader, today announces the launch of its 3-AZ Region in Paris. This new Availability Zone aims to provide organisations with presence in three datacenters in relatively close proximity, offering a combination of resilience and low latency. With this new region located in the heart of France, the Group offers unrivalled resiliency for critical Cloud projects. This new milestone is a testimony to the Group’s ambitions in supporting new strategic deployment patterns for the most demanding workloads.

Leveraging three distinct datacenters located at least 30km apart in the Paris Region, the new 3-AZ Paris Region benefits from different power sources and low latency network. Data can be replicated for near-instant failover, or simply distributed for scale, offering organisations ultimate resiliency to serve mission critical workloads on state-of-the-art Baremetal servers.

In a typical 3-AZ deployment scenario, clients will roll out a minimum of 3 dedicated Baremetal servers, available from OVHcloud Scale and HGR ranges, in 3 datacenters located around Paris. This solution brings resiliency to cloud infrastructure projects including replicated database architecture, large scale virtualization infrastructure and distributed storage solution.

Data protection and sustainability

OVHcloud 3-AZ Region Paris benefits from OVHcloud’s well known expertise in infrastructure, offering both a trusted Cloud and environmentally friendly servers. With the highest security and data protection standards in the form of ISO 27001 certification and HDS for select services, data is immune to extra-territorial laws. OVHcloud Baremetal servers benefit from the Group bespoke watercooling system contributing to best-in-class PUE/WUE indexes (see more data here).

Public Cloud solutions soon to benefit from 3-AZ

While Baremetal servers are the first OVHcloud solutions available in the new 3-AZ Paris region, the growing Public Cloud universe, with its 40 products and solutions encompassing a total of 8 different services: security, compute, storage, database, network services, analytics, AI and quantum will soon take advantage of this new deployment model. As such, Object Storage will be available later in a 3-AZ to add extra-resiliency when it comes to storing data.

Pricing & Availability

Baremetal servers from Scale and HGR ranges are available now for order in new 3-AZ Paris Region. All Scale Gen 2 servers are available at launch (except Scale GPU and A7 + A8). In HGR ranges, HGR-HCI-a1 & HGR-HCI-a2 are available at launch. The rest of HGR Gen2 will soon be available except HGR-AI. Regular pricing of select Baremetal servers apply (x3) on top of a setup fee.
