OVHcloud unlocks high availability use cases with new Point of Presence in Toronto

Following the opening of a second data centre in Cambridge (Ontario) in March, OVHcloud keeps expanding its Canadian presence with the launch of a new Point of Presence (PoP) in Toronto.  Expanding their network with a significant enhancement to the OVHcloud Connect service, it provides robust private connectivity options to support customers’ hybrid cloud journey in the region.

OVHcloud Connect is the key solution to benefit from a secure and high-performance link between corporate networks and the OVHcloud vRack. This addition represents a great improvement of OVHcloud service capabilities, offering dual PoP connectivity in Canada (Montreal and Toronto), a major step forward for supporting high availability and resilience use cases. Clients can benefit from a more robust, fault-tolerance solution to ensure continuous operations, even in the event of a PoP failure.

Also, this new Toronto PoP supports private connections using ports of 1 Gbit/s or 10 Gbit/s. This enhancement not only provides higher performance but also boosts security, making it a key enabler for customers moving to hybrid cloud.

With layer 3 connections leveraging dual POP connectivity on Toronto and Montreal PoPs, OVHcloud offers a monthly availability rate up to 99.99%, ensuring optimal operational continuity for the benefit of their critical business applications.

This new option is now available in just a few clicks from the control panel, allowing customers to seamlessly integrate and deploy their connectivity solution.
