Sovereign Cloud: DEEP and OVHcloud launch partnership to strengthen European strategic autonomy
Luxembourg - March 31, 2025 - On Monday 31 March 2025, DEEP by POST Group and OVHcloud officially launched their strategic partnership for the implementation of a sovereign cloud in Luxembourg, in the presence of the Minister of Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, Lex Delles.
This partnership reflects the joint commitment of DEEP and OVHcloud to strengthen digital sovereignty in Europe. Based on OVHcloud solutions, DEEP will offer its customers a cloud offering that meets the highest data protection and security criteria, specially adapted to the Luxembourg market, with a commercial launch scheduled before the end of 2025.
The DEEP Sovereign Cloud will be based on OVHcloud’s On-Prem Cloud Platform (“OPCP”). This provides an integrated cloud platform (hardware and software) that will be, in disconnected mode, hosted and operated autonomously by DEEP in its own Tier IV-certified datacentres located in Luxembourg. The platform has already begun to be deployed in one DEEP datacentre, enabling DEEP by POST Group to fully understand the capabilities, robustness and reliability of the solution.
The cloud services offered by DEEP will enable Luxembourgish companies and organizations to host their most sensitive and critical data on an infrastructure with computing power adapted to multiple needs, from data storage and business applications to artificial intelligence usage. In addition to secure and disconnected storage, a range of sovereign applications will be made available to customers, offering a variety of tools and services developed by European partners. These applications will process, utilise and transform data, while ensuring compliance with security and data protection standards.
