We also maintain strong, long-term relationships with our suppliers and the leading technology companies in the ecosystem to optimize our industrialization processes and manage our environmental impact every step of the way.
Our goal is to think and act differently to change the status quo. Our engineers strive to invent the next evolutions of the cloud. At OVHcloud we are aware of the impacts of our activities, this is why we are willing to offer solutions that are not only accessible and affordable but also frugal and low carbon. Every component is carefully selected, every stage of manufacturing is thoroughly processed, and customer needs are taken into account to enable the next generation of services, as sustainably as possible.
We work closely with our technology suppliers to address issues of stability, performance, efficiency and durability. As part of this commitment, we are able to describe our overall environmental impact not only in terms of greenhouse gases emissions (GHGs), but also energy, water, waste, and transportation management - all with great precision.

Together with our environmental policy we have ambitious objectives for the coming years. Because we are aware of the environmental impacts of the numeric world, we are committed to reduce these impacts at every stage of our servers lifecycle.
Use 100% renewable energy by 2025 (77% in 2020)
Extend the lifespan of our servers through refurbished ranges while improving components reuse ratio (20,9% in 2020)

However, reducing our impact will not be enough. We go further, to take a step towards net zero emissions. This is put in force with the following key commitments:
Get standard certifications such as ISO 50001 (energy management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management)
Commit to carbon capture program, equivalent to Scope 1 & 2 by 2025, and to all 3 scopes by 2030, as a step toward NetZero emissions
Enable our customers to get real-time information monitoring on energy impact, for all our cloud services even at the Public Cloud’s virtual machine (VM) level by 2025
