OVHcloud expands its solutions for defence players in Europe and recruits to meet demand

Roubaix – March 31st 2026 – OVHcloud, the European cloud leader, announces at the InCyber Forum 2026 the acceleration of its activities in Defence in Europe. This dynamic takes place against a backdrop of the accelerated digitalization of militaries and persistent dependence on non-European technologies. Already engaged with defence stakeholders, the Group is accelerating in Europe with its cloud and AI solutions for critical environments and recruiting experts from the armed forces and the defence industry.

Cloud, data, AI: a market in structuring, a European alternative    
European militaries are facing rapid transformation: digitisation of operations, real-time processing, interconnection of systems, ramp-up of AI. Requirements are changing as a result: data management, resilience, enhanced cybersecurity, compliance with national and European frameworks. The market is changing rapidly, driven by these new uses. Today, it is still dominated by non-European actors. In this context, issues of sovereignty and strategic autonomy become central. OVHcloud relies on complete control of its technological chain to meet the requirements of the most sensitive environments.

Solutions already deployed for critical environments
OVHcloud has been supporting defence players for several years. The Group relies on a cloud infrastructure operated on a large scale, with multi-local architecture and 3-AZ regions guaranteeing business continuity and resilience. Its solutions incorporate high standards of security and compliance, including SecNumCloud. Its hardware and software offering, particularly with OPCP, allows customers to deploy cloud platforms directly in their datacentres, from the core infrastructure to the most sensitive sites on the edge, with a high level of control and operability. All of this is to meet current needs: access to advanced cloud and AI capabilities, while retaining control of infrastructure, data and operations.

Expanded teams and expertise on a European scale    
OVHcloud is expanding its solutions on this scale by drawing on its internal skills and deploying dedicated teams in each country, with the hiring of profiles from the military and defence industry. The Group is also supporting its teams as they upskill to meet national requirements, particularly in terms of security clearances and certifications (including classified defence devices). These teams will be responsible for designing adapted architectures, supporting infrastructure modernization, integrating AI capabilities (fine-tuning, diagnostics) and meeting the specific requirements of each environment.
