The Evolution of Data Security: German Startup SECURITEE Adds Its Confidential Computing Solution To OVHcloud's Ecosystem

Cologne, Germany – 10th February  2022 – OVHcloud, the leading European cloud provider, and German cyber security company SECURITEE are partnering to bring a powerful hosted confidential computing solution, based on Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) technology to the market. The solution addresses the growing need for data security solutions, and will arguably provide the safest readily available cloud computing solution on the European market. While data has historically been encrypted at rest, in storage and in transit across the network, the startup’s confidential computing solution provides the cutting-edge ability to protect data in use through an impenetrable hardware-based TEE’s that completes the lifecycle of application and data security. The joint offering will be a formidable step forward by directly combining cloud computing services with confidential computing.

Founded in 2021, Berlin-based SECURITEE is a daughter company of the Swiss innovative data security and blockchain start-up – Integritee. While Integritee focuses on a decentralized, scalable blockchain solution built on Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) Technology, SECURITEE’s focus is on a scalable enterprise solution. It leverages a patented technology deeply rooted in extensive research and development to provide customers with the technical capacity to encrypt applications and data during runtime and offers previously unavailable security and privacy features for developers and software users.

Through this partnership, the SECURITEE solution will be as a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering that provides a framework for developers to create fully customized secure and trusted applications with limited management responsibilities in the cloud.
